Remove all valuables:  like alcohol and weapons

Leave the curtains open: Then a thief can see that there is nothing to steal.

Get burglar alarms and surveillance cameras: as well as decals and signs announcing them.

Agree with the neighbors: that everyone keep an eye out for people who seem skittish and call the police if necessary. It is good to write down the details and registration number and ask strangers if there is something in particular they are looking for. Criminals who notice that they have been noticed usually go away.

Take pictures of property: that will remain in the cabin and write down special characteristics. It makes it easier in the event of a break-in
