Natural simplicity. A bare branch can be a beautiful eye-catcher placed in a pot or vase, or hung over the table. Likewise, an undressed fir placed in a nice basket in a corner. Quiet and unpretentious.

Cut down on the demands. To get away from the stress around Christmas, it is important to limit your demands for what Christmas should contain. A beautifully set table, a fragrant fir and sparkling lights are actually enough for me and my family.

You can find the best outdoors. In nature there is moss, beautiful colorful berries, branches, pine cones and fir branches. Take the opportunity to pick the things some day when it is snow-free outside. But it is important that you pick on your own plot, or that you have asked the landowner for permission. I think it is so nice when you have a natural and fairly stripped-down Christmas.

Cut down on the presents. Don’t buy too many presents, but a few selected ones that you carefully wrap with lots of love.

Foresight and good planning mean you don’t have to stress and have time to do the things you planned to do, and the good Christmas feeling lasts much longer.
